Fall is in the air in Texas (finally!) and recently I had the opportunity to do an incredible styled wedding full of autumn tones at The Emerson venue, one of my all time favorite wedding venues in the Dallas area. Not only is the Emerson absolutely gorgeous, but this well thought out styled shoot incorporated warm tones to give us all the fall time feels!
The Emerson is a wedding venue locatated just outside of Dallas in Kaufman. The Emerson perfectly combines cozy farmhouse and modern minimalism vibes to create a beautifully unique wedding venue. One of my favorite aspects to this venue is the chapel. This is the quintessential white chapel on the exterior, all white with rustic doors which creates a very welcoming and cozy affect. The interior of the Emerson is absolutely gorgeous and simple. White pews line the room to create the ideal aisle to walk down to meet the love of your life at the end. At the front of the chapel are huge windows with soft arches to let in tons of light. The interior of the Emerson is all neutral tones with minimal decorations, which makes it absolutely gorgeous and a perfect blank slate to fit with almost any wedding style. The Emerson consistently has a fun mix of classic and modern. The reception area is in a victorian house that has been remodeled to have a very cool, modern twist. Huge windows line the reception area that, in keeping true to the Emerson style, is filled with black and white details that combine to create the coolest vibe! The Emerson also has an outdoor dance area fully equipped with string lights that is absolute DREAM to dance the night away at.
If you are looking for a place to have an intimate wedding , The Emerson is the perfect place for you! The mix of classic and modern set it apart from all of the other venues in DFW!
Now to talk about the styled shoot! I cannot say enough great things about all the amazing people I got to work with to create this boho fall wedding. From the incredible florals to the beautiful invitation suite, this styled shoot could not have been more perfect! My friend and fellow Photographer Lana not only dreamed up and planned such a beautiful shoot but she also did an amazing job putting together a great list of vendors to work with! The decor for the styled shoot consisted of beautiful warm tones to create the fall atmosphere. There were also lots of fun textures mixed in, from woven wicker chairs to velvet runners, and even some fur here and there, that added an amazing boho flair! Combine all the warm reds, oranges, and beiges to all of the boho fun and you have the absolute perfect fall wedding day decor.
Another gem to add to this styled shoot was the incredible florist, Magnolia Flower Co. I have worked with this florist a few times now, and they never fail to create the most beautiful florals. For this styled shoot in particular Holly made amazing warm toned arrangements that fit the boho fall aesthetic perfectly. The bouquet included toffee roses, chocolate sunflowers and deep burgundy dahlias, among fall colored leaves, and all sort of dried florals to create one of the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen! She also created a matching floral arch for the ceremony backdrop that was stunning in the minimalistic Emerson Chapel.
The models at the styled shoot were the real life couple Sydney and Daniel. Sydney and Daniel have been together for 2 years and their fun energy shone bright throughout the shoot. I enjoyed every last second of getting to photograph this super cool and edgy couple. Sydney and Daniel brought the styled shoot to another level with their love, good vibes, and super fun personalities!
From the beautiful venue, amazing planner, talented florist, and absolutely rad couple, I could not have had a better time. I am extremely thankful to have the opportunity to work such amazingly talented creatives I hope to be working with all of them again in the future!
