If you know me, you know I absolutely adore traveling, especially when it is for my job. Nothing makes this photographer’s heart happier than traveling across the country to photograph your beautiful wedding day. I was so excited when Kate and Max inquired with me to shoot their destination wedding in a mountain town in North Georgia. Kate and Max’s wedding at the white fox cottage was the perfect combination of whimsical and classic. Chic and refined. If you want to hear more about this romanic destination wedding, I have all the details below.
The Couple
I was lucky enough to be apart of Max and Kate’s wedding planning from very early on, and not only got to know of the beautiful little details, but I also was able to get to know Kate and Max very well. It is always a plus when my couples book an engagement session with me because I get to learn so much about the couple and all the things that make them happy. Kate and Max are high school sweethearts from a small town in Georgia. True soulmates. Max and Kate are the perfect match with their sweet temperaments and down-to-earth personalities. Being able to be a part of their wedding day was an absolute honor.
The Venue
Max and Kate selected to have their wedding at the white fox cottage in commerce georgia for their whimsical day. The ceremony was held in an open air chapel. This chapel was truly the best of both worlds because it gives you the structure and symmetry of a chapel with lighting, fresh air, and nature of outdoors. Kate and Max incorporated a flower arch full of beautiful florals and greenery. The reception was held in huge, white, cottage inspired building with simple architecture, perfect for decorating exactly how you imagine your dream wedding day.
The Details
Kate and Max’s wedding day details were timeless and romanic. The decor details were a mix of neutrals such as blush pinks and beiges that really gave their wedding day a romanic and whimsical feel. Kate and Max kept their details very simple and very classy, which I absolutely loved. The reception area was equipped with long, wooden, family style tables and a sweetheart table for the happy couple. From the marquee sign, to all the little gold details, to their own custom drinks, Max and Kate’s wedding absolutely stunning.
The Bride
Kate was an absolutely stunningly timeless bride, like someone straight out of a movie. She also had the most stunning bridal details. Her jewelry silver was paired with very dainty details, such as her perfume, shoes, and even her monogrammed YSL lipstick in their signature gold tube. Kate’s dress was modern and classic with long, lace leaves and a plunge neckline, and a silky, long train. Kate’s dress also had delicate lace detailing that added the perfect touch. Kate’s long blonde hair fell in curls down her back and her makeup just emphasized her natural beauty.
The reception
One of my favorite parts of this wedding was the reception and all the memories I was able to capture. They laughed and cried. Popped Champagne and celebrated. The boys smoked cigars and the bride and her bridesmaids danced the night away. As the night went on and the party got started, glow sticks were handed out and the wedding guests passed around some fun heart sunglasses.
Kate and Max ended the night with an iconic confetti exit. Surrounded by their friends and family, Kate and Max were showered with confetti and shouts of adoration from their loved ones.
