Pachamama Todos Santos Wedding

Weddings

So who’s ready to hop on a plane straight to Mexico and maybe get married along the way!? I recently had the amazing opportunity to take a trip to Todos Santos, Mexico for a photography retreat where I got to snap some absolutely gorgeous photos. From the vibey hotel, oh-so-talented designers and planners, and gorgeous models, my Mexico dreams came true at this sun drenched Todos Santos wedding at Pachamama .

THE CITY

What’s cooler than a city where the desert meets the sea? Todos Santos is a quaint little art town right outside of the hustle and bustle of Cabo, Mexico. Santos Todos is perfect for the laid back, beach bum, art lovers of the world.

THE HOTEL

Lets talk about the Pachamama hotel. The phrase that best describes Pachamama to me is a breath of fresh air. This boutique hotel, which is a common spot for yoga retreats, has a serene and peaceful atmosphere thanks to the warm breeze, views of the Pacific Ocean, and even whales gracing us with their presence here and there! Not only was the atmosphere cool, but so were our rooms which just so happened to be authentic adobe tepees. What a dream! These tepees are inspired by the native culture in Todos Santos, which totally shows with its unique style. The rooms were not the only beautifully unique part of the Pachamama Hotel, but every corner of the hotel was consistently beautifully and photo ready. This was a dream for my photographer heart. I can’t forget to mention the delicious, authentic Mexican food that was just a plus! Pachamama couldn’t be a more perfect setting for a Todos Santos wedding.

THE SHOOT

Where do a begin with this boho dream of a wedding?! The designer and planner of the styled wedding, Mae and Co, absolutely outdid themselves with this beautifully put together design. With the natural Mexico habitat of green palm trees and white sand, and the neutral tones of the hotel decor, Mae and Co created a color palette the perfectly complimented and enhanced the beauty of the Pachamama hotel. From beiges and whites, to rust and terracotta, the beautiful warm tones looked absolutely stunning paired with the natural beauty of Mexico. With the help of the florist, Good Seed Florals, Mae and co also incorporated lots of texture to give so much character and life to the table arrangements and hanging decor. From pampas and wicker, to fringe hangings, you can find pretty much any fun texture you can think of in this incredible decor.

And thats JUST the decor. Think this styled shoot can’t get any better? Think again! Our models for the styled shoot, Katya and Diego, brought things to a WHOLE new level. The gorgeous Katya wore a flowy, boho, two pieced wedding dress by Flora Bridal that gave ALL the feels and ALL the vibes. Combine that with Diego’s causal white suit with thin strips and you have to coolest duo ever! We explored all over the hotel to get some of my now favorite photos I have ever taken.   Whether it was in front of cactus by the ocean, on some super cool stairs, or in the lush green of the Mexico palm trees, Katya and Diego were a dream to work with and made my job so easy.

All in all, this styled wedding was my idea of perfection!

THE EXPERIENCE

Catching a flight to Todos Santos and participating in this workshop was the best decision I could have made. Because of the creative nature of the shoot, I was able to really experiment with my creativity on a whole new level. Being surrounded by so many unbelievably talented creatives was a beautiful experience and taught me so much. I took chances, tried new things, and all the while had loads and loads of fun. Now who’s ready to plan their own wedding at Pachamama in Todos Santos Mexico and take me along with you!?
